You just know Phil Keoghan has been chomping at the bit, biding his time while all those upstart Kiwis (Flight of the Conchords, that host on The Next Great American Band) attempted to steal his thunder.
But Phil's absence from our lives is nearly over. CBS, having somehow overestimated America's desire to see Hugh Jackman and Melanie Griffith sing, has canceled Viva Laughlin after just 2 episodes. While The Amazing Race was left off the CBS fall schedule, a 12th season was filmed over the summer, and many assumed TAR would be moved up from the winter to fill an inevitable early hole in the CBS lineup (you might remember this is what happened with TAR 6 in the fall of 2004--that was the year we had Seasons 5, 6, and 7 air in the space of about 10 months).
So our favorite TV travelogue is back in just 13 days, on November 4. More on this season's batch of racers (who I really want to be good so as to finally get the taste of All-Stars out of my mouth after 5 months) as we get word.
I clearly don't watch enough tv to know what you're talking about here...but I'm pleased to see you're posting again!
